About Us

We are a congregation of people, located in Sanger, Texas, who are seeking to follow the teachings of the Bible as our sole guide, believing the Bible to be the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
We further believe that the New Testament reveals a new covenant that God has made with mankind whereby mankind is able to receive forgiveness of sins through the shedding of Jesus Christ's blood. However, a person does not receive forgiveness automatically or by doing nothing. We learn in the Bible that in order to receive forgiveness of sins, we must believe and obey the teachings contained within the gospel and act upon them.
As the apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 2:12, we believe that we must "work out our own salvation...," meaning we must continue to obey the gospel until our lives are over.
With forgiveness of sins, mankind has the blessed hope of being with his creator for all eternity.
We are not affiliated with any denomination, institution or other local congregation. You won't find us having any coffee houses, gymnasiums or participating in any other practices that are not found in the Bible. We are accountable solely to Christ, seeking to respect His authority and to pattern our faith and practices after the standard revealed to us in the Bible.
If you are looking for entertainment, this will not be the place for you. However, if you are seeking to worship as the first century Christians did, following only the teaching of the New Testament, then we'd invite you to come visit us and be our honored guest.

The Gospel Plan of Salvation

What must I do to be saved?Scripture teaches that salvation is by God’s grace and received through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). In the Bible, saving faith is not passive; it trusts God and obeys His word (James 2:14–26; Hebrews 5:9). Obedience doesn’t earn salvation as God provides the saving power but, faith responds to His terms.
How the Bible says to respond:
  1. Hear the gospel: Faith comes from hearing the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).
  2. Believe in Jesus: Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6; John 8:24).
  3. Repent of sins: Turn from sin to God (Acts 17:30; Luke 13:3).
  4. Confess Christ: Acknowledge Jesus as Lord before others (Matthew 10:32–33; Romans 10:9–10).
  5. Be baptized (immersed) for the forgiveness of sins: God forgives our sins when we are baptized into Christ (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21). In baptism we are buried and raised with Him (Romans 6:3–4; Colossians 2:12), and we put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).
  6. Live faithfully: Walk in the light, remain steadfast, and the Lord will give the crown of life (Revelation 2:10; 1 John 1:7–9).
Important notes:
  • Baptism is immersion in water and is the God-appointed moment when He applies Christ’s saving work—“through faith in the working of God” (Colossians 2:12; Titus 3:5).
  • Those who obey the gospel are added by the Lord to His church (Acts 2:47).
